Homebuilding
WILLIAM LYON HOMES
William Lyon Homes acquired 3 different homebuilders within 5 years and needed a seamless way to combine infrastructures. Their upcoming needs would include ongoing support for Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, Veeam, and Citrix
(tier 2.)
Keystone migrated the company’s on-premise Microsoft Exchange cluster to Office 365, allowing WLH to migrate mailboxes from acquired companies seamlessly and efficiently. We also performed a domain migration via ADMT, expanded the Citrix XenApp farm, and leveraged VMWare virtual networking to migrate their IP address scheme to fit company standard. We helped alleviate storage issues by implementing a 3PAR storage system, and used SAN zoning on Brocade switches to increase disk performance and improve security.
Government
SAN FRANCISCO SUPERIOR COURT
As can be common with government and municipal entities, the San Francisco Superior Court struggled with hardware and software that was outdated, remote access that was unreliable, and had no disaster recovery solution in place.
The large-scale Citrix environment we installed accommodated 500+ users for internal and remote access. Keystone also migrated more than 100 servers to a VMWare virtualization platform utilizing HP blade infrastructure and 3PAR storage —cutting power consumption by more than 50%. A new Veeam backup infrastructure used virtualization for backups and replication to a DR site. A Trend Micro Deep Security hypervisor layer AV solution reduced AV management overhead. Today, Keystone and SF Superior Court are working together to migrate their entire email infrastructure to Office 365.
Medical
ARKLIGN
This dental appliance manufacturer and software platform provider was experiencing SMB growing pains. They needed a solution to expand their server footprint and upgrade their email infrastructure to better integrate with Microsoft Dynamics.
We upgraded Arklign’s existing HP server hardware running VMWare, then migrated their email system from Google Apps to Office365 via MigrationWiz. Since their infrastructure was put in place, Keystone has expanded our engagement with Arklign and now provide full outsourced IT services.
